Thirty-One

I've started a new "venture" in my life, selling Thirty-One products. I never thought I would be someone who sold things from catalogs (Mary Kay, Avon, Premiere Jewelry, ect.), however when I saw how easy it was to get started and that I could do as much or as little as I wanted then it was a pretty easy decision. The only thing I feel kind of uncomfortable about is approaching my friends about buying things. I don't want them to feel like every time I come around I'm always going to be promoting Thirty-One, or my personal training services. I'm really excited to start though. Let's see how it goes!

Niece or Nephew?

Some big news in our family this week! My sister, Melinda, and her husband, Jeremy, have anncounced that they are having a baby! I am so super excited for them! This is such great news. I'm going to be an aunt! This means a late April or early May baby...maybe May 1st (my birthday)?

Competitions

I would love to compete in another figure competition this fall, but with football season in full swing I think it will have to be put off until the spring. Zak mentioned that he really wanted to come to the next one I do, so I want to wait until the spring when he can make it. I would love to do one in Michigan, Kentucky, or South Carolina, but would consider Ohio. I would love to have some friends/family/coworkers/clients there to support me because it is such a great feeling to stand on that stage and have people screaming and cheering for you.

I really have to get my diet down before I register for the next one. I really believe that's what got me last time. However, I would love to know what the judges really look for. It seems that IFBB judges are looking more for a softer look, but at the show I did in Kentucky the leanest girls won every height class (however, it wasn't consistent because 2nd or 3rd place would be extremely soft, followed by lean girls again). This really confuses me as to what the judges look for, so I guess I'll have to do my personal best and bring what I think looks best to the stage. To be honest, I'd rather be too lean than too soft. Maybe I'll start blogging my food log, training program, and weekly progress when it's time!

Well, the past week has been a blur. We lost a very good friend on Friday. Eddie Taylor will surely be missed by everyone that ever had the privilege of knowing him.

There's good news though. Reagan turned two on Saturday. She is getting so big! She talks all the time (Zak says she gets it from me- ha ha!). For her birthday she got sushi and a peanut butter cup cake with a Reese Cup baked into the center and chocolate frosting on top. She loved it, to say the least.

Zakie is coming in tomorow night and we are sooo excited! I have missed him so much! We all have. Reagan never forgets him. We get him for a whole month and we have so much that we want to do with him while he is here.

We go on vacation in less than two weeks and I cannot wait! Hopefully we will get to see some old friends and relax.

My first blog ever!

So this is pretty exciting! I have never blogged before, nor have I even understood it. However, being in Michigan, away from everyone I know (except the new friends I have made up here :) ), I figure this may be a good way to keep everyone up to date on what Zak, Reagan , and I are up to. Wish me luck!
